I have used this video in teaching college-level coursework in child development and training paraprofessionals in Special Education. I wish I could show it to middle school and high school students as well. Dr. Buehler’s humor is appropriate and keeps the attention of the viewer. I think that every young person should see this video as well as any students who are planning to work in areas related to child development and disabilities. He does a great job in describing the developing fetus. Parts of the video are quite graphic with regard to some serious genetic disorders–some of my students are “blown away” with what can happen to a baby… especially when some of the anomalies could be prevented with good prenatal care.
