Sendak, Maurice, Artist. [Poster) INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S BOOK DAY. USA: The Children’s Book Council, 1970. 15″ X 11″. Poster Board. A scarce poster by MULTI-CALDECOTT WINNING MAURICE SENDAK done for the Children’s Book Council features a marvelous color illustration from Andersen’s “The Emperor’s New Clothes” having an ornate border showing potted platns, stars, flowers, etc. Cardboard stand on rear. An extremely desirable collectilbe, mentioned in Joyce Hanrahan’s definitive reference book on the works of Maurice Sendak.
