This video details the trial and suffering of the parents of a dear baby who died in the cords of a mini blind at their daycare center. Nothing is said about the dangers of the inner cords. The outer cords that can be tied up or cut are only part of the problem. Many children have died from inner cord strangulation. If something isn’t done, many more will die. If it has a cord anywhere, inside or out, remove it. We have dear friends that lost one of their babies due to inner cord strangulation in 2002. They started Parents for Window Blind Safety www.pfwbs.org after this to bring to light the dangers, provide support to parents and loved ones who lose & have lost their children. Children up to 10 years old have lost their lives in mini blinds. Please send this video to all you know, whether they have children or not. You just might save the life of a child. You can also view the recommended window coverings at http that will be safe for everyone in your household and visitors. You can also make a tax-deductible contribution via the PayPal Donate button, advertising and expenses in getting the word out is expensive. Help if you can financially. :( OMG i feel so bad for the parents, I cant imagine losing a baby in such a terrible way as that:(

  11. smitty7527 says:

As sad as this is, it is preventable. Any licensed child care is required by law to have a health and safety inspection by the state and the inspectors will tell the child care that this is a hazard and how to prevent it. It’s tough when parents don’t know what to look for in a child care, or they think that just because someone is nice that their child will be safe. Parents need to do their homework so tragedies like this don’t happen. I hope this family will find peace in helping others now.

    Omg she was so adorable

  14. photorestore says:

The problem is the the cord that you pull on to bring the blind up and down is only 1/2 the problem. Children strangle all the time on the inner cords that run through the blinds. Go to the pfwbs website you’ll see mentioned in the description. Linda, who runs that website & the organization, lost her little one that way. No one talks about the inner cords, but children are still dying every 2 weeks around the world. And they are still being manufactured.
